Govt to rethink SEZ rules
The government and industry alike remain confused about what qualifies as an SEZ. IT companies are eager to reap the advantages but giving them the go ahead means that many of the other applications currently sitting with the government will also be turned into tax havens. India's silicon idols are solidly behind the government's new SEZ policy which could turn small enclaves as small as a few acres or a call centre into tax havens.
