High ATF prices impact low cost airlines
With oil prices surging towards the $150 mark, high ATF prices have led to base ticket prices going up and low cost carriers like SpiceJet and Go Air are no longer cheap. The statistics are startling. SpiceJet is losing upto Rs 24 crore a month and Go Air, the smallest low cost carrier with five planes, is losing Rs 25 crore every month. Even Jet is losing Rs 150 crore a month.
