Is India running out of coal?
For India to achieve energy security, it must involve a mix of many different energy sources, from coal to nuclear energy. But the scary news is India may run out of coal by as early as 2040, so there is urgent need to dig out more coal to fuel India's growing energy needs. "Unless we develop technologies to go deeper underground there would be a problem," said Partha S Bhattacharya, CMD, Coal India.
