Mutual Funds shy away from equities
At a time when the Sensex seems to be approaching the 11000 mark, only 30 per cent of mutual fund investments are in equities. The total assets under management are Rs 22,000 crore. Out of this, at the moment, only Rs 7000 crore is invested in equities. Infrastructure fund, the Prudential ICICI Infrastructure, makes up for Rs 1294 crore investments.
