Private sector not doing enough in R&D: Sibal
Most Indian companies talk a lot about cutting edge research. But when it comes to creating skilled researchers, that's another story. India’s Science Minister Kapil Sibal believes that the private sector is not doing enough to boost the future of R&D.Many of the problems start with India's higher education system. India spends only 0.8 per cent of its GDP on research and out of which only 0.2 per cent comes from the private sector.
