Quipo Telecom buys Tatas' mobile tower business
Wireless Tata Telecom Infrastructure (WTTL), the infrastructure arm of Tata Teleservices, has finally decided to merge its tower business with Quipo Telecom Infrastructure (QTIL), a member of the SREI Group. As per the deal, Quipo's 5000 odd towers would be merged with Tata's 10,000 towers. In addition Quipo will also pay Rs 3500 crore for a 49 per cent stake in the merged tower company.
