RBI, SEBI differ over F&O short selling
Dalal Street will have to wait to get to sell short in the market. Market regulator Sebi does not want to open up derivative short sales only to domestic players. It wants a level playing field between FIIs and local investors. Sebi has told the government that short-selling and physical settlements in derivatives should be allowed to all players.
