How are some builders in Chennai battling the slowdown in the market? Well, they are building costlier homes! In 12 months, a plot in south Chennai`s posh Adyar area will have 4 premium apartments. The price tag: 4.5 crore rupees. Chitty Babu CMD, Akshaya Homes, says: "It's very difficult to get land and sell as affordable homes. So we`re catering to the niche market."
