Sensex tanks 1,400 points
It was a manic Monday at the bourses once again with the Sensex witnessing its biggest intra-day drop in absolute terms. Taking a cue from global markets, Indian bourses ended the day weak with the benchmark index settling at 17,605 levels, translating into a drop of 7.4 per cent or 1,408 points.
