Slowdown slows down art sales
The year 2008 began with cheer for the Indian art mart as international appreciation allowed Indian artists to exhibit extensively worldwide. New records for Indian art sprinkled auction records for the first half of the year. But by September, the global economic meltdown left its mark on Indian art as well.
