Steel makers may roll back price cuts
Less than a week after the high profile meeting with the prime minister, the notification of an export duty has once again forced companies roll back the recent price cut of Rs 4000 per tonne on the benchmark hot rolled coil. Steel makers say this price reduction was conditional since the government had assured them of not taxing exports if prices are controlled.
