Tata takes the lead in JLR bid
Tata Motors was today named the preferred bidder for Ford's British marquees Jaguar and Land Rover, but a final decision for the sale was yet to be taken. "Ford is committed to focused negotiations at a more detailed level with Tata Motors concerning the potential sale of the combined Jaguar, Land Rover business," the company said. No final decision on the sale has been taken yet as there were issues to be addressed.
