Farmers beckon the rain Gods
With no significant rainfall since the beginning of the month, farmers in Akola are now resorting to an old fashioned tradition, of praying to the rain Gods. It rained in Vidarbha three weeks ago much to the delight of farmers who were looking forward to the next sowing season but the joy was shortlived.
