It has been 30 long years since Sindhutai Sapkal has been urging the state government to grant her a small plot of land near Pune. All she wants is to set up her NGO, which works with orphans. Tired of virtually begging, Sindhutai has given up hope. She now plans to use her life's savings to buy a two-acre plot on the outskirts of the city.
