Reviving the past: Kashmir promotes heritage tourism
Kashmir's rich cultural heritage is in ruins, but now the state tourism department is coming to its rescue and it hopes to attract more tourists. The Srinagar fort built by the Mughals in the 18th century is the first fort in the state to be thrown open to tourists.
