The Naxal attack on May 25 brought Chhattisgarh in the headlines yet again for all the wrong reasons. Chief Minister Raman Singh has been propagating the growth and development in the state. Raipur has more malls than Bhopal. But the two faces of development are clearly evident. Travelling just a little deeper, roads are difficult to find, water and electricity lines have not been put in use for the last 15 years. The officials blame the Maoists for not letting any developmental projects take off and the villagers complain about the government apathy. Can anything bridge the gap between these two faces of Chhattisgarh?
