AP villagers build their own rail station
A village in Andhra Pradesh has done what Railways Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav couldn't do. After the railways cared little for their plea to build a railway station near their village, people of Sankhapur built their own railway station. The station was built by the 6000 villagers themselves. Each family contributed 200 rupees and then volunteered labour free of cost.
