Attacks on Christians a national shame: PM
India's secular character is not altered by the attacks on Christians, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told the European Union (EU) after the subject of attacks on minorities was brought up by the EU. In an unusual clarification made overseas the Prime Minister on Monday described the attacks as a sporadic incident, but an incident that brought "national shame".
