Bengal's bankrupt tea estates see change
Bankrupt tea estates and a malnourished workforce are the issues that closed down Bengal's tea gardens. Then in 2006, things got worse when about a thousand tea estate workers died of starvation.
But after the government intervened last year, things have begun looking up, especially in tea estates where new managements have taken over the estates.
