BJP-Akali Dal lock horns in Punjab
After coalition troubles in Bihar, the Bhartiya Janata Party is now fighting to save its alliance with the Akali Dal in Punjab where the growing divide has taken a violent turn. BJP workers have allegedly set the buses owned by Akali leader Sukhbir Badal on fire in Bhatinda. They did this after Akali Dal workers clashed with BJP workers across the state on Monday during local body elections.
