BJP begins hunt for Independents
After sweeping Karnataka, the BJP is set to form the government. But it is still three seats short of a majority. BJP has won 110 seats. Having burnt its fingers twice with the JD(S), the party has begun its hunt for the numbers among the six Independents who have won. What is also worrying the BJP is a possible attempt by the Congress and the JD(S) to cobble up the numbers with the help of the Independents. Congress and the JD(S) have 108 seats.
