Builder-police nexus on display
The Bombay High Court has ordered the police to stop allowing the construction of police posts or other police offices with private funds.The court's order came in response to a PIL which revealed that a large number of police posts in the city is sponsored by corporate houses including builders and politicians. In exchange, residents have alleged, the police turn a blind eye to complaints against the sponsors of these police posts.
