Cabinet meet over new security minister
A proposal to create a new ministerial portfolio is likely to come up at the emergency Cabinet meeting called by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh later on Wednesday evening. Sources have told NDTV that some top UPA leaders have come up with the proposal to create a post of Minister for Internal Security. It would be the rank of a Minister of State and the person holding the portfolio would report to the incumbent Home Minister Shivraj Patil.
