Chhattisgarh battles malaria drug shortage
It's an invisible epidemic. Malaria affects over two million people every year, killing thousands and leaving many more sick and weak. But little attention has been paid to the disease. In tribal districts like Bastar, malaria is the biggest killer. And even though a simple course of chloroquinine can cure a patient, ironically, there are no drugs available at village health care centres.
