Corporates meet PM on affirmative action
India's top business leaders met the prime minister and communicated their concerns about job reservations in the private sector. There are reports that they've tried to drive a hard bargain saying that SC/ST candidates will be given preference when they have equal skills as long as the government does not bring in legislation to make affirmative action compulsory.
