Corruption mars Sangli's land schemes
Angry threats and covert warnings ensued as officials at a school in Sangli were upset when NDTV rolled the camera in order to shoot a school, entangled in controversies. According to the collector's office, the school, which is part of the Rajmati Nemgonda Patil Trust, is built on surplus land, which should have been surrendered under the urban land ceiling act. But the trust, headed by former Sangli Mayor, Suresh Patil managed to get an exemption.
