Flooded Barmer battles threat of disease
A week after the floods in Barmer, several villages are still inundated. Navy divers continue to recover bodies from the floodwaters. Animal carcasses that have been floating around for days have not been cleared by the administration. Surrounded by their foul, unbearable stench, villagers are now living in constant fear of water-borne diseases.
