Former Karnataka CM set to break record

Five years back, a committee found the Jewargi constituency in the Gulbarga district of Karnataka was the second most backward constituency in the state. This was despite having a VIP MLA, former chief minister Dharam Singh, who has represented Jewargi without a break since 1972. If he wins the ninth time, he will be entering the record books. And if it is a hung assembly, he could also be Deve Gowda's choice for CM.
