I had no option, says Musharraf
Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said he had been left with no option but to impose an emergency in the country to control growing terrorism and interference from the judiciary. Musharraf was addressing a press conference on Saturday night, hours after he had declared an emergency and later invoked a Provisional Constitutional Order.
