India, Japan announce joint statement
India and Japan have announced a joint statement in Tokyo after talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe. The two countries have decided to establish a strategic and global partnership. It will involve closer political and diplomatic co-ordination on matters of regional and global concern.
