Kalam appeals to doctors to end strike
President APJ Abdul Kalam has appealed to the striking doctors to call off their strike but they are in no mood to give up the fight. On the ground the protests will continue. NDTV has learnt that the government itself is divided on whether this should be done in phases from next year and not implement the entire 27 per cent next year.
