Kerala to make assaulting doctors non-bailable
The Kerala government is planning to make assault on doctors a non-bailable offence. The recent move comes in the wake of assault on a doctor in Thiruvananthapuram medical college. ''This has been our major demand. Assault on doctors should be made a cognizable offence on the lines of Andhra Pradesh, only then we can work peacefully,'' said Dr Saud, Jt Convenor, Doctors' Council.
