Local terrorist outfits linked to al-Qaida
While the Mumbai attack continues to puzzle investigators, the US, earlier this week, warned about a possible Al Qaeda attack in India, the first time such a warning has been issued. Unlike the 7/7 London metro bombings or the 2004 Madrid bombings, Al Qaeda has not claimed responsibility for any attack in India so far.
