Maharashtra cracks down on drunken driving

The Maharashtra government has approached the Centre with a proposal for more stringent laws on drunken driving.The move comes after 21-year-old Alister Pareira got off with just a six-months sentence from a fast track court after running over and killing seven people in 2006.
