Maharshtra flooded by rains, rescue on
In Maharashtra, the rains may have come late, but now it's a deluge. Parts of western Maharashtra and Konkan were flooded, with people evacuated from low-lying areas of Satara, Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune and Kolhapur. With more rain predicted over the next 24 hours, the National Disaster Response Force has been sent to Lonavla and Kolhapur in case dams start to overflow and urgent evacuation is required.
