Mercy killing requests force legal rethink
A spate of mercy killing requests to President A P J Abdul Kalam have triggered a moral debate on whether a person should be allowed to die or made to live against his or her wishes. The most recent is that of 12-year-old Vijay from Jamshedpur who suffers from Aplastic Anemia. His parents have requested the President to allow them to put an end to their son's suffering.
