Residents of Mumbai's poshest locality of Carmichael road are fighting to save their only playground. The city lost its claim to the plot because the Mumbai municipality did not acquire it in time. And it is not an isolated case. In the last ten years, the city has lost its claim to over 25,000 square metres of space reserved for public use because the deadline to take over the land lapsed.
