No coaching centres required for IITs?
The cramming is on for the race to beat lakhs of students to get the coveted 6,000 odd seats at IIT. Each student has paid Rs 60,000 for special tutorials to give them that extra advantage. But IIT officials say with the objective-type testing introduced last year, coaching institutes are now redundant.
