Orissa continues to simmer amid fresh violence
The tribal dominated Kandhmal district of Orissa continues to smoulder, despite curfew in four towns. Two churches were set ablaze on Wednesday evening. The violence was sparked off on Monday when mobs led by Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists set ablaze churches, convents and some houses belonging to Christians. One person died and 25 others were injured and tension is brewing in areas not conversed by curfew.
