People await breakthrough in Singur row
For nearly two weeks now, Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee is on a dharna outside Tata's Nano plant, demanding that 400 acres be returned to farmers. As the West Bengal government and Opposition try to work out a compromise, everyone else is waiting. The four-lane Durgapur Expressway has now turned into a two-lane highway. However, at least traffic has started moving.
