PM's chief economic advisor resigns

The Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council Chairman C Rangarajan has resigned from the post. While he has not given any reasons for the move, reports suggest he is likely to be nominated to the Rajya Sabha. Earlier, Rangarajan held the post of RBI Governor from 1992 to 1997. He was also the Governor of Andhra Pradesh and has been a Member of the Planning Commission.
