Protestors want Bangalore airport to stay
As Bangalore's good old HAL airport gets set to close, it is not the businessman, not the techie who stand to lose the most. The worst hit are the trolley retrievers, the taxi drivers and the support staff. There are 90 trolley retrievers who stand to lose their jobs come May 23. ''We went and asked, they said no jobs. New people have already joined there,'' said a trolley retriever.
