Rice smuggling rampant in TN
The DMK government may have kept its election promise of providing rice at Rs two a kilo to the poor, but does all this rice reach those it's meant for? Local commuters boarding the Tirupathy bound train at Tiruninravur Railway station claim that rice from ration shops are siphoned off to the open market in neighbouring states like Andhra Pradesh.
