Shirdi: Govt orders razing encroachments
The collector of Ahmednagar has given orders for the demolition of over 1500 illegal structures in Shirdi. Among them are prominent hotels and restaurants. Shirdi being a popular pilgrimage, several new hotels and lodges have mushroomed in the area, many of which, the administration says, are on government land. The Shirdi Nagar Panchayat survey found 1500 such illegal constructions.
