Somnath's stature rises after trust vote
He may be out of the CPM but he is one political leader whose stature has clearly risen. On Thursday, Somnath Chatterjee who decided to defy his party and remain Speaker during the trust vote had many visitors including the Prime Minister who congratulated him for his role in running the Lok Sabha. But the message from the CPM was clear that they had no choice but to expel Mr Chatterjee.
