Tihar jail to have de-addiction programme
Officially, almost ten percent of Indian prisoners are addicted to drugs .Unofficially, the number could be higher and often, this addiction could lead to HIV because of infected needles. Now in a unique initiative, the UN drug control body and AIIMS have come up with a special de-addiciton programme at Tihar jail, the first of its kind in a prison in the subcontinent.
