It is a condition that affects many elderly people, but something most families prefer not to acknowledge or talk about. Former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher has it. Former US president Ronald Reagan went public just before his death. Hollywood legend Charlton Heston chose never to acknowledge it. All of them suffered with the condition called dementia, which can affect anyone no matter how clever or famous.
