Unlikely kingpin: Hasan Ali's shadowy character exposed
Until the story about the tax scam broke, no one knew of Hasan Ali outside maybe of the racing circles in Mumbai and Pune. Till the late 1990s, Ali lived in Banjara Hills, which is one of the most expensive addresses in Hyderabad, where he lived with his wife Mehbooba Khan and their two sons.
