Uphaar case: Ansals sentenced, get bail
The Ansals brothers managed to get bail after being sentenced to two years in jail in the Uphaar Cine fire case. Pronouncing the quantum of punishment in the ten year old case which had claimed 59 lives, the court sentenced Gopal and Sushil Ansal to jail for two years. The bail was granted to them on furnishing a personal and a surety bond of Rs 25,000 each in the case.
