Villagers up in arms against GFCL plant

Over 1000 villagers of Ranjitnagar in Gujarat are up in arms over health hazards from the huge plant of refrigerants maker Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFCL). They allege that farm yields have dropped dramatically and most married women in the village are unable to conceive because of contamination. The villagers blame Hydrogen Fluorochloride gas discharged from the plant regularly.
